This month we are launching our Reading and Writing Renaissance Campaign. This initiative supports our goal to achieve 100% reading and writing proficiency by the end of the 2024-2025 School Year. To support this initiative, the Cumberland County Library has agreed to provide virtual book access in which our students will be able to check out up to 10 books at a time and utilize other resources as often as needed. In the letter sent by your child’s teacher, click the link in the letter to read about the online access library program. Only complete and return the Student-Access Opt Out Form if you do not want your child to participate in this program. The opt-out letter is due on September 18th.

On Saturday, September 28th is the International Folk Festival Parade.
On Monday September 30th are senior photos. Please note you must schedule your appointment online prior to that date.

Attached are forms that must be completed for each student and returned to the school by Friday, September
13, 2024. This is confidential information. Please place all completed information, sealed in the envelope
provided. This packet contains the following information:
1. Residency Questionnaire
2. Federal Impact Aid Survey Form
3. Student Technology Policy and Guidelines
4. Student Handbook/Parent and Student Signature Sheet (please view the handbook online at
www.alphaacdemy.education . If you would like a printed copy, please contact the office).
Please read each form in its entirety, complete the information requested, and sign each form where
applicable. If you are missing any of these forms in your packet, please contact the office immediately and
inform the office of the missing document.
– If you have multiple children in the home, ONLY ONE FORM IS NEEDED PER HOUSEHOLD.
Please include ALL children under the age of 18 that are in your household. This includes non-school
age children.
– If you have multiple children in the home, write the name of the student’s form you completed at the
bottom of this letter and return all forms for each student to include this signed letter in the envelope
provided.
o For example: Jane Doe, 6 th grade; Jack Doe, 7 th ; Patti Doe, 9 th . Complete the forms for Jane
Doe, 6 th grade and at the bottom of this form, list the other siblings and their homeroom: Jack

Grades PreK-3 Drop Off and Pickup Area Parent Etiquette:
Parents, for safety purposes, we kindly ask that you remain in your vehicle during the drop-off and pickup process. Our staff members are readily available to assist your student to and from the vehicle, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for everyone. This process helps maintain a steady flow of traffic and minimizes any potential safety risks. Thank you for your cooperation and for prioritizing safety. Together, we can ensure a safe and efficient drop-off and pickup for all students. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support!
Outreach Clinics are available for students entering 7th and 12th grades. No appointments are required, but clinics will serve the first 70 students. The scheduled dates and locations are:
